hey guys. ive ben doing some reading up on it and just watching a few vids and discovered that it will have survivor mode with 1-4 players . its like the gears of war 2 horde mode with each wave getting progressively harder and moder difficult to kill. the first wave will be about 5 aliens in solo but will be amped up depending how many players there are. if you get either the hunter edition or survivor edition then you get extra maps to play on.

MULTIPLAYER DETAILS:

• There are seven online multiplayer modes supporting up to 18 players across three species.
• The announced modes to date are Infestation, Predator Hunt, Deathmatch and Survivor.

• I N F E S T A T I O N: One player starts the match as an Alien Hunter and their task is to kill the Marine prey. When a Marine player is killed they will join the Alien Hunter team and help to kill off any remaining Marines. Over-whelming mayhem.
• P R E D A T O R H U N T: In this mode one player is selected to become the Predator Hunter, the rest of the players take the role of the Marine prey. The Hunter must use the Predator’s stealth abilities and advanced equipment to pick off the prey and score points. The Marines will need to defend themselves from this threat and if possible, to kill the Hunter. Tense stealth-play.
• D E A T H M A T C H: Death Match in AVP multiplayer is about getting the most kills in the time limit set. Players can also win the match by hitting the target score before anyone else. Frantic, brutal chaos.
• S U R V I V O R: Survivor allows one to four players to enter an arena to fight waves of progressively stronger aliens. Each arena will be set up with two main areas. One will be a platform which is relatively easy to defend, the other will be an area where ambush by aliens is more likely. Supplies of health and ammo will re-spawn in this second area. The ultimate test of stamina.

The AVP Demo doesn't go up until they update the PSN Store (which hasn't happened yet). It won't happen until either very late tonight or early tomorrow morning... so you're still in the running
