BFBC2 MP Demo Out Now!

@snake. Im not so sure about playing BFBC1. the controls are a little different and will be hard to get around. it might be hard to enjoy the multilayer. but if u want to just play it just to get familiar with everything then thats a okay.

Yeah even the little bit of the single player I've played feels way different, but I wanted it more as more of an entry into the series. I played a bunch of 1943 when it came out last year, and I played a bunch of 1942 back when it came out, but I haven't played other more modern Battlefield games. So yeah, I'm just using this as a means of seeing a bit more of the Bad Company formula and getting the story (as basic as it may be) before the sequel arrives.

Unfortunately there isn't as much incentive to play the demo to death like the beta before it. They've capped the rank to 2 only, and only 1 unlock for each class and vehicle. That sucks

In the beta, you could just keeping ranking away and unlock ALL the weapons. I guess it does give everyone a feel for the game, but people will get bored with it due to rank restrictions

The story in BFBC1 was wacky, stupid and boring. The sequel should be better. The developers said themselves BFBC1 was aimed as casual gamers, but after it's success and feedback from gamers, the story and gameplay in BFBC2 will be for more hardcore gamers! FTW!

I think Perry is referring to Wijome who is capped and been downloading for a while, anyways had some games with Perry this morning and was a heap of fun, i really like being to co pilot in the Chooper and Tanks, when me and Perry were in Tnkas or Choppers pretty much owned, starting to get upgrades for guns and starting to like the game more and more.

you know what chiips. I think that might actually be the reason why alot more people in aUF like the game. no one is too overly pwered yet (like the tanks an such)

I remember in the beta it took ages taking down a tank quite possibly because they had the extra armour perk. its a nice balance right now with the tanks not being to easy or to hard to destroy. maybe they fixed the balancing a bit more in the game with the armour perk hopefully in the final game.

or maybe its just better cause they fixed alot of stuff from the beta. The map itself is better than the beta just like most have said already.

thers only one in the demo. and its the alternate fire perk for tanks and helicopters for mounted weapons.

thats what the description says in the upgrades and unlocks section.

@Ray Ray : Dunno about that. The upgraded weapons are not not necessary better than default ones. I know some highly ranked dudes back in the beta were still sporting original weapons. Weapons are rated on damage, accuracy and rate of fire...... new unlock might improve on one or two areas, but decrease in other(s).

Reason why tanks are easier to destroy =
1. The tanks in Demo are mostly LIGHT tanks..... I think there's just 1 HEAVY tank for the attackers only. Whereas the beta had 3 HEAVY tanks for attackers, and 2 HEAVIES for defenders.
2. The demo map is less vehicle friendly - less very open spaces, so C4ing tanks are easy.
3. They've dumbed down the engy's repair kit. You used to be able to continously repair a tank without stopping.... whereas now you need to let it cool down before repairing again.

Vehicle Upgrade:
I dunno what the one we unlock in the demo does...... but some of the vehicle upgrades in beta
* Improved armor - tank takes less damage
* Improved ammo - tank shells does more damage
* Sensor - shows any enemy withint certain radius around vehicle (this actually seem to be default in demo... so no longer an unlock? You can see the pulsing ring around your vehicle)
* Co-axial gun for tank - You can fire a gun in addition to main tank turret. This I believe is unlocked for you if you purchase special/limited edition? (just saw ray mentioned alternate fire! ). I assume this perk also give you alternate fire uav UAV??

ur right about all those points chiips. which is why i guess some will hate some maps and others will love some. This map with its layout and vehicles is nicely balanced and the attackers and defenders base is always a nice enough distance away.

At first I thought this map sucked, cause I was so used to the beta map. But playing it more, Im having WAAAAAY more fun than in the beta. this map actually makes me LOVE rush mode. Cause before in BFBC1 and playing the beta map just made me remember the un-enjoyable aspects of rush mode.

if they can cleverly make map designs like the demo, Ill play rush mode a whole lot more.

and yes chiips. The alternate fire is the vehicle perk u can unlock in the demo its not only for tanks but like u said its for uav and helicopters as well. it could be for other vehicles too Im guessing.

Yeah i agree with what your saying Ray, they set up the rush mode perfect for the map, they give the attackers enough vehicles to attack and the defenders enough equipment to defend, i love the start of the map and defending, just sitting on the first floor with that rocket launcher missile that can stray wherever you want. But as i heard someone say with the beta they enjoyed it more and more as they kept playing it, im getting the same feeling with the demo.

Geez Hired, I dunno what to say mate, that truly bites the big one!!

Had some decent games, but already seems less and less ppl are playing it, didn't have a full squad of 4 until the last 30 mins of my session yesterday...

@Hitman, you enjoying it more yet at all?

I think the main reason less people are playing it is the limited upgrades, which is totally acceptable from Dice as it is only a demo.
I played the arse out of the beta due to the rank up's and perks... i have unlocked all that is possible for the demo and will pay it now and then for the two weeks.
I liked seeing the amount of AUFers playing and i hope you enjoyed the experience of a MW2 alternative... I will be getting BFBC2 on the release day and cant wait to partner up....

Well had my first couple of games last night. First impressions...not to bad found it quite difficult at first as the controls are very different (R2 to knife WTF!!!!!!!) also the defult sensitivity is ridiculously slow so buymped that bad boy up a bit seems alot better altough i struggle to kills anyone with anything but the LMG. Choppers are cool but those uav give me the shits. Im gonna give it some quality game time before i make a decision but at this stage it hasnt blown me away..time will tell

@Kobes,I'm trying to like it I really am,lol using the knife looks so retarded.Going from BFBC2 to MW2 I find is hard I go to knife someone and I throw a nade,I go to crouch and I swing at the air funny shit though when your playing SnD and everyone is watching you.I'll keep playing it every know and then to see if I can get into it.Question when the full game comes out will we be able to party up with 2 or 3 squads then look for a game or will it be you can only have 1 party squad then others can join if able to and make another squad in game does anyone know?

Not 100% sure, but I would assume the squad system in the demo will be as in full version. So maximum party with 3 others to form squad of 4. Very unlikely they'll allow more than 4 in a party, and be able to join up with others.

Way to have more than 1 squad in a team. First squad of 4 join a game, and the rest join their game. You can form a new squad once in a game. OR squad of 4 join a game, one dudes leaves the squad to form a new one, and invite away. But that's assuming there's enough room.

What I don't like is how squads can get broken up Ya party up, but some dudes gets put on the other team instead.

i'll be getting back into it soon been havn troubles with net so told em to just down grade my net to adsl so i get a stable connection but can no longer host MW2 games. oh well rather be able to play when i want rather than hardly at all.
