Apparently these are going to be pretty limited and pre-orders are now open.

So if you really want one get onto it.

    From my secret Sony sauce:

Yeah, the Nintendo was pretty hard to get at first. That pretty much scratched my retro console itch so I doubt I'll get the PS Classic... It should have Pandemonium on it, that was my first Playstation game I think.

I honestly donít know which PS1 games I would want to go back and play now. That generation of 3D games were rough af, and most of the best ones have been given good remasters (Abeís Odyssey, RE1, RE2, etc.). That leaves the 2D games I guess, but none really stand out to me. Iím not really a JRPG fan.

I think even MGS would be hard to go back to. Iíd be a lot more excited for a Master System or Mega Drive Classic I think.

Yeah the old PS1 games would be hard to go back to. As stiff said, all the best ones are/have been remastered. The problem I would have is going back to D Pads would feel pretty janky. I doubt they would be going through with a whole updated control scheme.

I am looking forward to the Medievil remaster.

Maybe Tekken 3, definitely the original 2 Medal honours and even some the the early Call of Duty were decent games. But I am probably remembering the good parts and forgetting the crappy aspects of those games.

If they did a remaster of Shane Warne cricket that would be epic.

My problem really is, even the good games have aged terribly, we are kinda spoilt these days with really amazing games. Even including the bugs.

I think if it was $79 I would probably get it. But would struggle to get value out of it. I have a n64 with amazing games. They just aren't as good as my memories of them and my kids just trashed them out right

Itís funny, some games have aged terribly, but others still hold up (at least to me). For example, NHL94 on the Mega Drive and The Ninja on Master System I still find fun to play. Street Fighter 2 probably still hasnít been bested by any fighting game.

But the PS1 era was the first 3D graphics, and wow those games look horrific now. I think previous (2D) consoles hold up way better.

Yeah I can't think of any I'd want to play. I'm guessing Gran Turisimo has aged terribly.

You can always play Metal Gear Solid 4 for the MGS1 flashback level to see how bad it has aged.

Same here , maybe Metal Gear solid might get a run I can't think of anything else worth going back to? , they should have done it with the PS2 at least that console had more memorable games worth revisiting.
