I’ll try and suss out the invite options tomorrow, hopefully we can get some invites happening for anyone who’s interested but didn’t sign up.

Not too bad at all. I didnt play Div 1 but it reminded me (a bit) of Socom (not the good ones).

I dont know how it would stay interesting after aying through the main quest line and getting some decent gear but then I dont entirely understand the stats and buildcraft thats available... Might get this one.

I can’t speak to the Division 2, but with the Division 1, with respect to your question: it didn’t, at least for me. But then I’m not really into ‘loot’ games, whereas you are, so YMMV.

Trying to share stuff is a pain in the ass, you both need a Uplay acct and be friends then you need to send the invite and it takes a while for it to register, though may not be as bad now it’s fixed? It’s a terrible setup, they should’ve just emailed everyone 4 codes if they were gonna do it this way, though they probably want all those extra people joining their uplay service.

Haven't put as much time into the beta as i'd like, but i've already preordered so i'll get through it eventually.

Re keys, the process is an absolute shit fight, they didn't make it easy. I couldn't even log on to club.ubisoft last night ...

I jumped on for a bit after maintanance last night and played through a few solo missions, next thing its almost 2am. It is looking like a very good game - fun gameplay, plenty to do, nice graphics, awesome sound... Have to try the endgame stuff yet.

TP i didn't realise you were on. I am so sad. I was on from 10 till 1am as well. Time just flies by.

Finished the second mission. Unlocked a a heap of perks. The Headshot kill XP boost is actually amazing. Get it early. You get double XP bonus for Headshot kills.

Nice, hopefully you enjoy it.

One of the biggest changes that they have made is the amount of loot you get. Like it's a lot more then the first game. Loot chest and weapon boxes everywhere. Crafting mats are super easy to get as well.

Have they fixed human sized bullet sponge enemies in late game? That was a put off in Division 1 (never stuck around till the DLCs). Just didn't feel right having to put clip after clip into normal sized humans to down em.

Well sorta. Now heavily Bullet sponge enemies are dressed like Ned Kelly. And armor exlopeds off them as you damage it, which exposes their health bar. Its pretty cool TBH and feels Right

I am sure o read somewhere that bullet sponge is absolutely not the design it's more about tactics and enemy AI.

@ TP, Socom Division is not.

It feels identical to the first game in pretty much every way. If you enjoyed Div 1, you’ll enjoy Div 2. Similarly, if Div 1 wasn’t your cup of tea then Div 2 won’t be either.

A bit like the bad one. S4 wasnt socom either lol...

End game enemies are not really spongy, theyre a little tougher, hit harder and have gizmos and grenades to spam at u. Not sure I like it. It doesnt feel tactical or smart, u just move back and shoot as they move up. Its decent but I reckon Id get tired of it.

I loved div1 but didn't like the feel of the new one. Doesn't get the same NYC vibes and seemed a lot clunkier somehow.

Not the same enough to just work and not different enough to be new and interesting.

I completely agree, played it today till the end of the beta run and have to say it was shit.
I've put in a ton of hrs into D1 and this just felt hollow as a sequel expecting something more but its a big let down.
Glad I played this beta as I was a definite "in" for D2 before, but I won't be buying it I don't think, when the first one is better in nearly all areas.

I wonder if the open will be on a newer build or have different content.

I didn't play much of the private beta just because of progress reset and i've already bought the game, but still might spend a bit of time in the open beta.

It would surprise me greatly if it wasn't a newer build. They had patches each day of the closed Beta so chances are they will have patched few/many things in the next 2 weeks.

TBH the closed Beta was really good on the last day, but I didn't have technical issues all weekend, so maybe I was just lucky. I did have 1 wall that didnt render at all and just had a floating ladder, that was pretty much it. I am reading online that PC was a dog's breakfast and that's why the Youtubers are raging about it. Apparently console was much more stable and had more consistent performance. #ConsoleMasterRace

It was like Div1 after year 1 but better, not much better but definitely better. I thought I would hate the environment but it was awesome. I had a few heart clench moments when I thought i was getting jumped by enemies but it was just a startled deer bounding off.

Missions, open world and Darkzone felt good. Cover and tactics required kinda every where. Guns are amazing. Gear I am undecided on but the brands seem like a good system so far. Wasn't massively impressed with the Ultimate weapons, they could have been much better.
