    Stalking, silently. Saw it yesterday, but didn't have much to say. I really hope they put out a beta, because I had a load of fun in the beta of AC:Infinity but it's shitty F2P model put me off it entirely. If this is a full priced game I am eager to see how it goes.

    FWIW I've been getting my aircraft fix in Just cause, predicting missiles that have no lock tone and dodging them like a badass while bombing shit makes you feel as badass as a jet pilot should.

    They display, and they are very pretty. Cutscenes I'll assume, can't expect that to be actual gameplay.

    Why so ?
    If it can display a good deal of planet in a ground based shooter, doing a good job of rendering a few planes, some clouds and a distant landscape should be doable. Its a lot less triangles.

    What is it with this gen and chromatic aberration? So much of post processing use in games is there to actively destroy the IQ or purposely add effects that mimic video errors and/or deficiencies it seems.

    I guess it can work in small amounts but damn if my eyes don't get sore after a few hours of it in Bloodborne.

    It's not really the polys or textures that mark them as bullshots, but AA like that just isn't doable in realtime yet.

    I really liked number 5. It had a corny but decent story, and the progression was pretty good. None other have compared to it imo.

    I actually thought Assault Horizon was really well done. It cops a lot of flak but I thought on a technical level it was fantastic - not something you could say about many Japanese games last gen - and the gameplay was brilliant.

    PSVR Gameplay:



    Looks pretty damn impressive to me. I always said this was the PSVR title I was most interested in, and I have to say that it probably looks the best so far.

    It looks good, I am more a fan of WW2 or even WW1 dogfighting though, it's much more personal.
    I played Chuck Yeagers air combat far more than Falcon 5.0
    Still, any vr air sim is probably a must have.

    I wanted to take this opportunity to speak with you directly, our loyal ACE COMBAT fans, and give you a first-hand update on the launch timing for ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN.

    The Project ACES team and I have been working hard on ACE COMBAT 7 and we’re determined to achieve the vision we have set for the game. To reach that vision, we have decided to move the launch of ACE COMBAT 7 to 2018.

    We would have loved to launch ACE COMBAT 7 at the end of 2017 as we originally intended, but doing so would compromise our goal for the game. We take our art very seriously and that means we have instead chosen to devote additional time and effort to perfect and optimize this newest chapter of the ACE COMBAT saga. The combination of the Unreal 4 Engine and the power of current generation consoles and PC hardware have literally opened the “skies of opportunity” to us to develop the best ACE COMBAT experience to-date. At no other time in ACE COMBAT’s 20+ year history has gaming technology allowed us to deliver the minute details of flight combat - such as cloud cover and air currents – or give players a new way to experience dogfights and attack sorties through hardware such as the new PlayStation VR.

    We’ll have a lot more information and details to share with you in the coming months, starting at E3 2017 where we plan to reveal a brand-new demo showcasing one of the non-VR missions in ACE COMBAT 7 for the first time ever!

    PSVR gameplay.

    Interesting to note that there's VR specific missions. Does that mean the whole thing isn't playable in VR, or just that those missions can only be played in VR.

    It looks partly like their unco flying is due to the simplified controls, which I'm glad there's an expert setting that turns it off. Very beautiful looking game so far too, just hoping it runs stable of the base PS4.
