Thanks for the races the other night, especially to Smajs who went through the hassle of setting up the races and undertaking the tedious process of sending out the invites. Was great to see a full house

We should do a 10 to 15 lap with fuel and tyres. I will probably run out of fuel but it will be fun.

I reckon a 12 lap fuel/tyre degradation race in GR.2 cars around the Red Bull ring would be fun. Pit stop strategy.
Few people have GR.2 cars sadly, suppose GR.3 would suffice.

The Ring is short enough so that the laps won't take that long, but tricky enough to keep you on your toes each lap.

Also the grass moves now when cars go by...sfjdjdajkdndslk!!

EDIT - may have figured out how to add more colour and keep the detail in decals, this one here worked out great.

Sounds good. I don't think I have a GR2. Haha. Will buy one when I can

Gr. 2 too fast for me. I'm way off the pace in the Lexus.

No worries, I tested out GR.3 and tweaked the tyre/fuel drop, should be fun still with GR.3.

I will make an event for next Tuesday 18th September as the BFV Beta is still running tonight.

    Race 1.

    Fisherman's Ranch II Rally
    2 Laps
    GR.B
    555BHP
    1,150KG

    Race 2.

Brands Hatch GP Circuit One Make race
    4 Laps
WRX Isle of Man Time Attack Car $300,000
    578BHP
    1,140kg

    Race 3.

    Red Bull Ring
    11 Laps
    GR.3
    Tyre wear 5x
    Fuel depletion 6x

Rally has some kick arse jumps.

Brands hatch in the WRX with down-force should be fun.

Red Bull Ring, looks like with GR.3 you can go about 7 laps on full power before fuel is empty, maybe the brave can go full race distance dropping the power? good luck managing tyres through full race distance ha.

Edit Maybe for race 2 instead of WRX we should go for a Goodwood style classic car race? Gotta find some good cars from the 50/60/70's.

Okay event is up, I put all the race details in the event info too.

I invited all the players I could, invites sent indicates 36 players but for sure I sent invites to others that didn't show up as sent, sorry if I missed your name.

DICE and Sony must have hired the same people to develop their invites and join functions.

    Anywho, need these cars.

    GR.B 555BHP. 1,150KG

WRX Time attack car. 578BHP .1,140kg

Just had an 11 lap run on the Red Bull Ring.

Did 9 laps on the one stint with fuel mapping 3, hard tyres were still viable.
I had zero fuel left when I entered the pits ha, filled up a bit , put on some supersofts and hit the 11th lap finish line out of fuel, just made it ha ha ha.

Nice to have to think of an approach to race strategy.

GT Planet has a pretty good tuning section. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/gts-tuning.425/

I recall that they also had some deep driving set up videos around launch date too.

In the game there is a Circuit experience that breaks down each circuit into sections you can tackle as well, fun too.

Go to discover in the menu, has search for decals and liveries. You can search for liveries for individual cars or just a smörgåsbord of selections.

Have to go to the home garage to actually apply a livery though.

Tanks for the races, forgot to record damn it. next time I will because there were some great slip stream passes and crazy spins tonight.

In terms of GT nights, I could do Sunday night races.

Also, I like these longer races with pit strategy, I reckon Interlagos with either GR2 or GR1 would be great fun. Nurburgring GP is another track that would be sweet in a longer race.

    Interlagos
    Nurburgring GP
    Kyoto
    Monza No Chicane
    Suzuka
Good long race tracks with racing cars imo.

Last night was great. Thank you again for organising it.

Glad you didn't record the first corner of the rally when I took everyone out.. Haha.

Sunday could be good though Friday or Sat would be best to allow sleep in the next morning.

Long racing was good, added a different level of complexity.

For online racing, it’s probably the best game out there. The systems they have in place are quite harsh, but they legitimately encourage proper racing.

For the AUF nights we’re not quite as strict, so they’re fun in their own way

If you check through this thread you’ll find some YouTube vids of our races.

I made a couple of fun scenarios for the next GT night, some open wheel action in the KTM Xbow's!! They are like super karts ha ha.

I just need to know what night people want to race on, We could do a Sunday night race, long weekend in some states.
I can't do Friday or Saturday nights. I could do any one of these three nights though.

    Sunday 30th Sep.
    Monday 1st Oct
    Tuesday 2nd Oct.

They fixed the Mercedes F1 car!!

As long as you don't snatch at the accelerator it takes slow corners much better now, could see an AUF F1 session in the future.

    Anyway.

For the next GT night I set up these three races.

    Race 1.

    N300 One make race.

KTM XBOW, you can purchase it for Cr.100,000.
    298BHP - 790Kg
    Race tyres
    Maggiore - East II
    4 Laps

    Race 2.

    Gr.4

    385BHP - 1,300kg
    Race Tyres
    Dragon trail - Gardens
    4 laps

    Race 3.

    Gr.1

    BOP
    Tyre wear and fuel depletion
    Interlagos
    11 laps

I will set up the event for Sunday night 30th September, if the numbers are low then we'll just go back to Tuesday.

Wow, not only has the handling been improved in some cars, the sound has improved too!

I also think that the graphics look better, a noticeable increase in the debris and marbling around the track now, and cars seem to scuff up and accumulate dirt more as well.

And the new cars are fun to drive, the NSX and the Porsche especially.
