I remember 9, that little guy who looks like a character out of Little Big Planet, for some reason when I watched it it made me think of Short Circuit. Johnny Five is alive!

    Frankenweenie is good too.

Just finished series 2 of Gotham, awesome show, getting into it the more I watch. Always like it, I was partway through series 2 and rewatched it from the start for a binge.
    Now I want series 3 and 4 .. any legal options ?

So Jessica Jones season 2 released. Very dissapointing that the best thing about it was the best thing about the first season, just in a much smaller dosage.

Annihilation is well worth it, very reminiscent of 'The Thing' in some ways.

    echo..echo..echo..

Wasn't till I was halfway through Lost in Space I realised what they did... if you ever watched the original series (I did, like 5 times each), well this is the old 60's B grade series modernised, You want to reach into the TV and bash Dr Smiths and Wills heads together, the robot is kinda dumb and useless, the science is mushy.
Its great if you saw the old stuff.

Never been into Lost in Space, may have to have a look.

Am watching Troy at the moment - new series, not the movie - it's OK, better than the movie. Lovely...ladies.

Also can recommend Rikki Gervais - Humanity. And Toast, whacky shit but funny. If you like IT Crowd you may enjoy...

It's no Battlestar Galactica reboot unfortunately. But agree probably better experience if you've watched the original.
Thought it might be up there but not so, still nice to see a remake all the same. I loved the original lost in space, it with land of the giants were a stable for me as a kid.
I actually thought the robot was the glue in the story since there is more to know, which is what kept me watching.
Better upgrades than the old B9 version. Looks like they modeled their idea for the robot from Geth off Mass Effect or at least used that as a building block?

I thought the biggest fail of this reboot was the Dr Smith character in it's entirety. The original, camp/gay, (before it was socially accepted), The original Dr Smith had so much more colour and flare.
At least he was a real doctor plus Colonel, at NASA and actually had plausible reasons to be there in the first place, plus used to get them out of problems as well as be the active protagonist.
The new Dr Smith script was ridiculous I thought, basically a weak con artist that wouldn't fool a 10 year old with her weak deceptions, what makes things even stupider, you have all these intellectual Robinsons and they are continually buying her weak excuses and format?, as a protagonist unlike the original character she needs to actually be intellectual in some way not a complete idiot....

I did like the referral to hawking radiation, and a little bit of astrodynamics when she went up in the high altitude balloon for a look.
The instantaneous freezing water and having a qualified doctor at 18 might have pushed the limits though....

I thought the coolest thing in the whole show was that the real Dr Smith, that Posey stole the ID keycard from was actually played by Bill Mumy, who was the original Will Robinson from the 60's show! So he could still be around as he's still on the resolute....?

Note when you've got a 3D printer that can actually print guns and you are being harassed by alien predators print guns ok.

Lets see if it can beat the original and actually make 4 seasons.... Still was better than most of the shit on Netflix.

Oh wow, did not know it was Bill Mumy, how cool. I think you are right about him being not dead, if they weren't going to keep him, he would have died I reckon. Not that we may ever see the Resolute again..

The old Dr Smith had lame excuses that the family fell for as well, it was sooo frustrating lol.
They just kept forgiving him, I assume it will be trope throughout this show too.

I'm a little late to the party here, but I just finished watching Jessica Jones season 2 and Altered Carbon. It's great to see so much good sci fi coming through Netflix: Altered Carbon was great. Not quite Expanse level in my mind, but still brilliantly executed. Great to see that Asian chick with the unusual face from Neighbours in it, and I thought she was really good in it.

JJ2 season 2 was also great. I did miss the PI stuff a little bit, and there wasn't a villain/antagonist that was anywhere near Killgrave level, but it was a very interesting hole that JJ found herself in, and there was a great deal of consideration of how messed up she is without having a villain to blame it all on, which I also thought was quite interesting.

I must finish JJ, about half way through series 2 I think. I get a bit over all the superhero stuff .. soo many of them and a lot are pretty dumb. Luckily no-one recognises Black Lightning when he is in costume walking through the school he is principal of, especially with that unique beard..

Onto the Alienist atm, gives me a Peaky Blinders feel, it made me upgrade my netflix plan, was on standard but its a very dark series, as in black, all the video had horrible mpeg artifacts, I was getting CGA flashbacks. The HD (720p?) stream is soo much better.

Oh, bought a el cheapo $400 49" 4K aldi telly on wednesday for the bedroom, yay, CEC ftw, only gives me a functional pause/stop button for netflix but the raspberry pi kodi box has full TV remore capability now.
Audio is arguably better than my 60" sony actually, not 100% convinced yet, its bassier but seems a bit muddy like its virtual 'wide' audio.

.. and yeh, holy shit thats a better picture than I had, just had a stunning outdoor night shot and you could touch the leaves on the trees..

Yeh, DC superheros have pretty shitty disguises for the most part. I do like black lightning though, it's no daredevil, but it's OK. plenty of worse shows out there, and it's still better than any of the DCEU movies.

Just finished 'Safe', the whole series is ok but holy shit the final episode putting it all together is just awesome. Some great acting, look for the nuances in expressions.
If you like a good mystery give it a shot.

There's good bits, but as a whole I vastly preferred the first. That being said, Season 2 villians so far certainly feel a little weak compared to Fisk, killgrave and even cottonmouth from the first bit of LC S1. Not many, if any likeable characters among the Luke Cage specific cast. I'd probably rate this one with Iron Fist, although it does have it's moments, it's not as consistent quality. Suprised as fuck when I saw Lucy Liu directed the first episode though, didn't see that coming.

It seems like the Marvel Netflix TV shows have been on a gradual downward trend (I still think that Daredevil season 1, the first series they did, is easily the best). I think they're just trying to churn them out without laying proper foundations (much like the DC movies). That said, they've still been pretty damn good.

The Marvel TV shows aren't handled by the same people as the movies unfortunately; as I understand it, the two divisions had a fairly acrimonious split, where Kevin Feige's old boss was put in charge of the TV shows, and Kevin was promoted to run the movie studios after the two had a falling out and Feige was supposedly ready to quit.
