Coming home from fishing last weekend and the long drive caused discussion on driving music, here are a couple of tunes from last weekends play-list.

I put these on my custom GT sport play-list too and lapped several seconds faster*

Rubba - Gypsy Manou. This will ease you in.

Rubba - Caroline. Now the Apex is upon you.

And if you really need to feed the speed then by all means put this third song on, just make sure you are securely strapped in first.

    Brian Bennett - Pendulum Force

Spoilered because it may in fact get you booked for speeding in your own home.

*Note These songs are not guaranteed to make you drive any better, they may make your ears orgasm though.

Ha I just wrote an essay for an assignment thanks to that music Stoney! It is amazing how powerful music is, how it can evoke deep feelings and bring back memories, I think sound and smell are two of the most emotive senses.

When you get the right vibe going you can unlock countless creative options, just zoned out and let the written word flow.

    its certainly surreal.
I actually put the whale sounds playlist on shuffle last night and was drifting off to sleep after 3 or 4 tracks then spotify started playing something totally unrelated and annoying, not sure what it was, some indie track, i turned it off and tried to go to sleep annoyed.
I was going to pay for spotify but they do shit like that and annoy me.

Speaking of surreal .. I am trying to find a decent copy of Godley and Cremes debut album 'Consequences'.
I was introduced to this album in 1978 and not heard it since, its not on spotify, I think youtube has parts of it but not its entirety.
To set the scene, I was a young country boy apprentice new to the big city and my new best buddy dragged me to his older brothers birthday party, the first time i had seen or smelt marijuana, bloody uni students everywhere .. i had a few puffs as they eventually convinced me i woud not die immediately or run around naked or turn into a drug addict, he had a vinyl master copy (I messaged him last night, he still has it, it has been played 3 times total now) that he got through the uni, this album was rare back then.
I ended up kicking back on the couch eyes closed listening to this 'music' in basically heaven, I am keen to see if it has anything like the effect it had on me back then.

The wiki page is a good read

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cons...6_Creme_album)

At one point, to create the impression that the listener is inside a coffin during a burial, a binaural "head" microphone unit was placed behind a board at the foot of a flight of stairs, while Godley shovelled sand on to it. Three days were spent producing a saxophone sound from an electric guitar; each note of a guitar solo was recorded separately and faded in on the track, which was then sent through a speaker and out of a rubber hose with perforated cigarette paper at the end. Enough pressure was displaced by forcing the sound through the holes of the cigarette paper to give the rasp of a saxophone.[3]
That quote misses the part about the play written and spoken by Peter Cook .. I don't remember that bit at all.
One thing I do remember is there is a police raid in it somewhere, that freaked me out no end being semi stoned for the first time ever..

Haha. Sounds like my mates old man who told me about listening to Captain Beefheart back in the day under the influence of reefer. It must be the only way to listen to it because the music is horrible. They could use it as a torture device in Guantanamo.

I’m listening to this a lot at the moment. I think this genre is what the kids call “wave”, kind of trancy electronica. This dude (skeler) is from Perth:
