So google is acting a little odd for me in the last few days. Every single search result I click on opens in a new tab, as is my settings, but every single page returns a 404 error. The sites load ok, but they always fail to find the specific page I'm looking for.
I've also noticed that the google url after searching is excessively long, in this example I search for Batman Forever: (first thing I thought of)
(google.com) /search?as_qdr=all&num=30&q=Batman+Forever&hl=en&so urce=hp&gbv=2&gs_sm=3&gs_upl=1872l4174l0l4474l13l1 0l0l2l2l1l324l1249l2.3.2.1l8l0&oq=Batman+Forever&a q=f&aqi=g10&aql=
It seems to be adding on the big jumble of stuff when I try to load the page I want. In this example I click on the first link from the above search:
(imdb.com) /title/tt0112462/&sa=U&ei=ulo9T9fEJO2gmQXf9tCtBw&ved=0CBkQFjAA&usg= AFQjCNHA3wdlogOzGYfUlhQ74pZ04i-AMg
I've tried it with both standard google and encrypted google (https) with the same results.
I'm currently doing a Malware and Spyware scan to be safe but this all started happening since my net dropped the other day, which was after I did some questionable downloading... Coincidence? (I dl'd a free show, but from a tv streaming website using firefox download helper.) I tested it using the Google Chrome browser and that's working fine. Must be one of the recent firefox updates perhaps?
Thoughts?
