      Default Google is acting odd...

So google is acting a little odd for me in the last few days. Every single search result I click on opens in a new tab, as is my settings, but every single page returns a 404 error. The sites load ok, but they always fail to find the specific page I'm looking for.

I've also noticed that the google url after searching is excessively long, in this example I search for Batman Forever: (first thing I thought of)

      (google.com) /search?as_qdr=all&num=30&q=Batman+Forever&hl=en&so urce=hp&gbv=2&gs_sm=3&gs_upl=1872l4174l0l4474l13l1 0l0l2l2l1l324l1249l2.3.2.1l8l0&oq=Batman+Forever&a q=f&aqi=g10&aql=

It seems to be adding on the big jumble of stuff when I try to load the page I want. In this example I click on the first link from the above search:

      (imdb.com) /title/tt0112462/&sa=U&ei=ulo9T9fEJO2gmQXf9tCtBw&ved=0CBkQFjAA&usg= AFQjCNHA3wdlogOzGYfUlhQ74pZ04i-AMg

I've tried it with both standard google and encrypted google (https) with the same results.

I'm currently doing a Malware and Spyware scan to be safe but this all started happening since my net dropped the other day, which was after I did some questionable downloading... Coincidence? (I dl'd a free show, but from a tv streaming website using firefox download helper.) I tested it using the Google Chrome browser and that's working fine. Must be one of the recent firefox updates perhaps?

      Thoughts?

It won't be because you downloaded anything illegal or any bullshit like that, its most likely just FireFox being a fucktard.

Fair enough, I like to cover all bases though just in case. The timing was just odd is all...

If it went down because of that, my FireFox shouldn't exist anymore. I have a problem with piracy.

Does clicking on the top search result (which should be IMDB) take you to a 404 page? And are you using FF 9.01 or higher?

I just realised I haven't updated to version 10 yet... thought I did the other day. Might try that now and see if it helps.

I figured out what it is... I have an add-on called google enhancer which obviously hasn't been updated properly of late. Disabled it and it worked fine. Well that was a waste of a thread. Thanks for the help though guys.

Google usually goes to a google extension link briefly before it goes to the destination. Probably for their stats and search relevance.
