    Resurrecting an old thread...

ATTN: Fitness people or anyone really. Anyone want to do an AUF Tough Mudder or equivalent. I am thinking shirts or hats or some shit. If we pick one a couple months out it will give heaps of time to prepare.

    Well what do you think?

I would do but currently got a herniated disc in my back. Looks like fun though.

i ran one of these twenty years ago in UK. It was in the middle of winter and one of the first obstacles was to cross a stream - which was frozen. I was in a group of 8 and by the time we got to the stream it was basically a mud-slushy... Completed the remainder of the course wet & cold. I was drying out (a bit) by the time we reached the electricity (wires dangling randomly from a frame) but they had a bunch of twats with hoses to make sure you were good and wet for the buzz. Fun times.

A bit of both. Its was probably one of the first 'tough mudder' style races, I did it with my section, there was quite a lot of military doing it. Very different to the events now...

Call me crazy, TP your story makes me want to do it more. Sounds intense. Apparently they have massively toned down the electricity as people were complaining.

Nope. Kinda glad as it is meant to be a beautiful place to visit but the army would've made sure I didnt enjoy it.

Spent a good amount of time in the Lake District doing fell running, I can recommend that, Fantastic area!

Yeah I have friends who have done the fell running. They said it was good fun. There a few peak run races I want to do over there eventually.
